BirthOrigin*Hendrik was from Macassar and was perhaps born there circa 1675. He was said to be 22 years old in 1697.2
BaptismSlave On 26 April 1699 Hendrik Constant van Macasser was baptized Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), at the time he was the slave of Simon van der Stel. I have assumed this to be his baptism, because he later marries in the church.3
Marriage*He married Helena van Macassar on 28 May 1708 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.4
