On 25 March 1724 Pieter van der Kust Coromandel was sold by Arnoldus Willemsz Basson to Jan Mijndertse Kruijwagen de Caep de Goede Hoop, for Rds. 113. Basson had died in 1698 - the reason this transaction and the inventory of his property is recorded so many years after his death is as yet unclear to me.15,16
