BirthOrigin*Pieter was from Coromandel Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1670. His age is estimated.1 
Slave TransactionsOn 25 March 1724 Pieter van der Kust Coromandel was sold by Arnoldus Willemsz Basson to Jan Mijndertse Kruijwagen de Caep de Goede Hoop, for Rds. 113. Basson had died in 1698 - the reason this transaction and the inventory of his property is recorded so many years after his death is as yet unclear to me.2,3
