Birth*Diana van Maria van Diana van de Caep was born before 30 August 1722 at Slave Lodge in (Cape Town), although the father is not named in this baptism, subsequent evidence in the record identifies him and his relationship with the child's mother.1

Marriage*She married Pieter van Hemert on 26 August 1736 (Cape Town).2
 
(Child) 1727 LodgeCensus28 February 1727, Maria van Diana van de Caep was enumerated as a Company-owned slave in the census of the Slave Lodge. Her daughters Diana van Maria van Diana van de Caep and Christina van Maria van Diana van de Caep were enumerated in the same census, with Diana being described as halfwassen meijden, an adolescent girl and Christijn as suijgelen meisje, a nursing girl. Christijn was said to be one year, three months old.3 
(Beneficiary) InventoryArnoldus's estate was inventoried on 21 December 1735. The inventory named Diana van Maria van Diana van de Caep and Johanna van de Caep as benefitting from the estate. Among his possessions were listed the following enslaved human beings: Baatje van Bougis, Antonij van Tuticorijn, Lea van Ceijlon, Abram van de Caab and Apolonia van de Caab.4
Names in the record, in publications, etc.Between 21 December 1735 and 26 August 1736, the name of Diana was written in the record as Johanna Coevoet.5,2
