Slave Transactions | On 6 January 1697 Aran van Trancquebare and Christoffel van Trancquebare were sold by Jan Pietersz: van Vleugel to Jan Cotse, for Rds. 80 each.3 On 30 November 1697 Christoffel van Trancquebare was sold by Jan Kotze to Pierre Simond, for Rds. 84. I have assumed this to be the same individual purchased as Christoffel van Trancquebare 10 months earlier.2 |
