Maria Hendriks
F, #7703, b. circa 1668, d. 1720
Mother-Candidate* | Lysbeth van Bengale b. c 1643; candidate relationship, offered with a view toward further discovery in the record.1 |
Birth* | Maria Hendriks was born circa 1668 in de Caep de Goede Hoop. Even though Maria was said to be between 65 and 66 when she married Oortman in 1714, this seems unlikely. Oortman was around 38/39 and I am guessing that Maria was more likely around 45/46 - an age gap that seems more probable between a couple. It also fits more logically with her potential age at her first marriage. However, this date does seem to rule out Hendrick Hagens as her father. He does not, as far as I can tell, appear in the record after 1664.2,3,4 |
Marriage* | She married Johannes Pfeiffer on 17 July 1690 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.3 |
Marriage* | She married Pieter Betram Oortmans on 9 September 1714 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.5,6,7 |
Death* | She died in 1720 de Caep de Goede Hoop.8 |
