"Lang Onderwe(e)g from Malabar (17/18), sold by Claas Voshol, skipper on Mydrecht, to Christiaan Freser. No price mentioned. The slave was to serve Freser as long as his master lived, but would be freed when Freser died".
Alhoewel vrystelling by implikasie nie uitgesluit was nie, is dit 'n ongevraagde toevoeging. Familia, 1/1989, Addenda & Corrigenda, "Bibouw (1986.4 pp 70-72); E. de Klerk, "Die verhaal van Susanna Biebouw" mentions that the name Diana only occurs four times in slave transactions 1658-1687 as set out in A.J. Boeseken: Slaves and Free Black at the Cape 1658-1700. The attention of Susanna Bibouw's descendants, however, is drawn to the following slave transaction which may shed more light on the Diana-mystery:
'. . . 12.1963, p. 442: Diana from Madagascar (24/25) sold by Christiaen Freser to Didlof Bidouw for Rds.90'
