Frans was from Trancquebar and was perhaps born there circa 1687. He was said to be 17 years old in 1700.¹

On 19 January 1700 Frans van Trancquebar was sold by Cornelis Krijnsz Rood to Claes Hendriks Diepenhout, for Rds. 50½.²
