Alexander was from Madagascar and was perhaps born there circa 1686. He was said to be 16 years old in 1700.¹

On 18 January 1700 Alexander van Madagascar was sold by Heribert Dompselaar to Jacobus Willemsz ten Damme, for Rds. 50.²
