Anthonij was from Madagascar and was perhaps born there in 1673/74. He was said to be 21 or 22 years old in 1695.¹

On 18 March 1695 Anthonij van Madagascar was sold on behalf of Claes Decker by Willem ten Damme to Simon van der Stel, for Rds. 80.²
