BirthOrigin*Leendert was from Zevenhuysen and was perhaps born there circa 1630.2 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.1 October 1658, the name of Leendert was written in the record as Leendert Cornelisz: van Sevenhuijsen.3
Monsterrollen and Opgaafrollen (Muster and tax rolls)On 15 February 1658 Leendert Cornelisz: was enumerated in the muster roll among the freemen, as as a 'woodsawyer' and owner of part of a forest. Enumerated with him were Dircq Dircqsz:, Carel Broers, Christoffel Coenraetsz:, Jan Jansz: Macha, Claes Fredericksz:, Wilhelm Gou and Jan Christoffel Broeckmeulen, described as 'in his service.4'
Vrijbriewen and Burgher StatusOn 3 October 1657, Leendert Cornelisz: was granted a vrijbrief or letter of freedom which released him from his contractual obligations to the VOC and accorded him the status of vrijburgher or free burgher. He was recorded as a carpenter.2
Slave TransactionsBetween 12 December 1654 and 1 October 1658 Jan Bruijn van Madagascar was sold by the Company to Leendert Cornelisz:, this transaction is assumed.5
Between 6 May 1658 and 1 October 1658 Pieter Pietersz was sold by the Company to Leendert Cornelisz.6
Between 6 May 1658 and 1 October 1658 Judas de Wever was sold by the Company to Leendert Cornelisz:, this transaction is assumed.7,6
On 1 October 1658 Jan Bruijn van Madagascar, Judas de Wever, Sara de Waster, Pieter Pietersz and Regina van Rapenberg van Guinea were, along with any of their future offspring, put up as security in a skuldbrief by Leendert Cornelisz: in favour of the wife of the commander Maria de la Queillerie. This was for a loan of f 300 at ¾% per month. Cornelisz: as well as all his possessions, were included as security. The payment in the first month was excused, thereafter he was to make monthly payments until the original amount, plus interest, was repaid. Presumably he carried out the agreement, because the skuldbrief was cancelled on 12 November 1658.7,8
