BirthOrigin*Jan was from Delft and was perhaps born there circa 1630.1 
Monsterrollen and Opgaafrollen (Muster and tax rolls)On 12 November 1657 Jan Jansz: Macha was enumerated in the muster roll, he was recorded as a soldier.2
On 15 February 1658 Leendert Cornelisz: was enumerated in the muster roll among the freemen, as as a 'woodsawyer' and owner of part of a forest. Enumerated with him were Dircq Dircqsz:, Carel Broers, Christoffel Coenraetsz:, Jan Jansz: Macha, Claes Fredericksz:, Wilhelm Gou and Jan Christoffel Broeckmeulen, described as 'in his service.3'
