BirthOrigin*Christiaan was perhaps from Denmark and may have been born there circa 1648.1 
Occupation* On 3 February 1688 Christiaan Jörg was the first mate of the Danish ship Antoinette.2 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.3 February 1688, the name of Christiaan was written in the record as Christiaan Juriaense.3
Slave TransactionsOn 3 February 1688 Aron van der Kust Coromandel, Bastiaan van der Kust Coromandel and Titus van der Kust Coromandel and Maria van der Kust Coromandel were sold by Christiaan Jörg to Cornelis Linnes, for Rds. 40, Rds. 40, Rds. 40 and Rds. 46 respectively.2

    pp.71-72 The first mate of the Antoinette, Christiaan Jörg, according to his signature,... and footnote 83: The officials translated most foreign names into Dutch. Thus Christian Jörg is called Christiaan Juriaense in the deed of sale.
