BirthOrigin*Constantia van Malabar was from Malabar Coast, India, and may have been born there in 1656. She was said to be 40 years old in 1696.2,3 
Marriage*She married Joost Ventura, son of Ventura van Ceylon and Helena van Malabar, on 10 August 1698 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop.4
 
Marriage*She married Joannes Pretorius, son of Dirk Pretorius and Maria Hansen van de Caep, on 10 June 1714.5
 
Death*She died before 1 February 1722 Cabo de Goede Hoop.6
 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.30 July 1698, the name of Constantia was written in the record as Constantia van Mallebaar van de Kust.7
10 August 1698, the name of Constantia was written in the record as Constantia van Cormandel, The marriage record is the only record that I have identified in which Constantia's provenance is said to be the Coromandel Coast.8
10 June 1714, the name of Constantia was written in the record as Constantia van Batavia.5
Baptisms - WitnessConstantia van Malabar potentially witnessed the baptism of Aeltie Myburg on 2 March 1699 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), this witness has not been positively identified.9
Slave TransactionsOn 20 June 1696 Constantia van Malabar was sold by Gerrit Basson to Pijetter Robbersz (Cape Town), de Caep de Goede Hoop, for 80 Rixdollars.1,10
On 22 June 1696 Constantia van Malabar was sold by Pieter Robberts to Joost Ventura de Caep de Goede Hoop, for 80 Rixdollars.11,12
Slave EmancipationsOn 30 July 1698 Constantia van Malabar was emancipated by Joost Ventura.7,13
