Philip Wouter de Vos was baptized on 22 January 1730 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Trijntie Pasman and Philip Morkel.²

Death*

He died before 8 April 1731 de Caep de Goede Hoop, this death is assumed based on the baptism of a younger brother with the identical name. It was common practice in the period for parents to name children after a deceased older sibling.¹
