Anthoni, Carel and Alexander were sold by d'E Hr Gijsbrant Goske, to Cornelis Stevens Botma on 11 November 1675, for Rds 270. It is possible that additional identifying information will surface as I add records. It may be that Goske acquired the three individuals from his predecessor(s.)16,17
On 16 January 1676 Isaak van Cap Vert and Jacob van Cap Vert were sold by Cornelis Swart to Cornelis Botma, for Rds 155.18,19

Slave EmancipationsAnthoniij van Angola was emancipated before 1680 when he concluded a contract as a free man with Cornelis Botma, the husband of Jannetje Gerrits. She was the widow of Wynand Leendertsz Bezuidenhout, his former owner. It may be that Jannetje Gerrits was instrumental in his emancipation.42
On 16 January 1690 Jacob van Macassar was emancipated by Cornelis Botma, on condition he first faithfully serve Botma for six years before the emancipation came into effect. I have assumed this to be the same individual, without provenance but who apparently was from the East, purchased by Botma in 1675.43
On 25 August 1699 the freedom of Jacob van de Caep was purchased for Rds. 100 by his father Jacob van Macassar from Cornelis Botma who signed the deed of manumission.44
