Gerrit Gerritsz van Deventer was baptized on 14 May 1713 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The baptism was witnessed by Jacomina Gerritsz van Deventer and Magdalena Brits.^3,2

Marriage*

He married Rachel Joubert, daughter of Pierre Jaubert and Elisabeth Richarde, on 30 October 1744 Tulbagh, de Caep de Goede Hoop. In "Pierre Jaubert and his family" Mrs. J.E. Malherbe offers 30 (sic) February 1744 as the date of marriage.^4,2

Death*

He died in 1757.²
