Willem Janssen was given a slave, Maria van de Caep by Jan Pietersz Louw on 14 May 1686 de Caep de Goede Hoop, as a wedding gift.8
On 7 September 1686 Adam van Madagascar was sold by Willem Janssen to Gerrit Cloette, in exchange for 38 ewes.9

Dit is waarskynlik dat hierdie dieselfde Maria is wat saam met Pieter van Bengale kind laat doop het op 19.5.1696 (Inskrywing No.152) en Anna en Jan ter Weerelt se trou geskenk was.
