BirthOrigin*Jacobùs was from Middelburg, Netherlands, and may have been born there circa 1675.2 
Marriage*He married Maria Elizabeth van Coningshoven, daughter of Dirk van Coningshoven and Jannetje Bort van de Caep, on 23 November 1704 Nederduitsche Gereformeede Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop.3
Death*He died in August 1719.4
 
Inventory* On 12 August 1723 the estates of Anna Hoecks and Jacobùs Hasselaar were inventoried together by Maria Elizabeth van Coningshoven.5
