Slave Birth - Company OwnedDiana van de Caep was born in bondage circa 1690 and was most likely owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie), de Caep de Goede Hoop, the date is estimated based on the baptism of her daughter in 1708 when she was a company-owned enslaved person. I have assumed she too was born to a company owned enslaved mother.1
Death*Diana van de Caep died before 31 August 1714, I have assumed she died before this date as she is no ennumerated in the 1714 Slave Lodge census.2
