Flora was from de Caep de Goede Hoop and was perhaps born there circa 1718. The date is estimated and should be used as a guide only. Corrections welcome.²

(Slave) SlaveInventory

On 29 April 1724, most likely at the time of the decease of her husband, Jan Stevensz Botma de Jonge on a date unknown, Christina de Brùyn came to own the following slaves who were named in the inventory of her estate: Caesar van Madras, Flora van de Caab, Salomon van Mallabaar, Anthonij van Madagascar, Absolon van Ternaten and Kobus van de Caep.³

Slave Transactions

On 31 May 1724 Flora van de Caab was sold from the estate of Christina de Brùyn to Johannes Botma.⁴
