Elisabeth van der Caep was baptized on 25 December 1701 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). The baptism was witnessed by Octavius van Macassar and Elizabeth van Bouton.¹

Before 25 December 1701, Elisabeth van der Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Simon van der Stel.¹
