Joost Cornelis was born circa 1665.¹

Slave Transactions

On 5 March 1698 Cezar van Bengale was sold by Joost Cornelis and Johann Carsten Fuber to an unknown person , for Rds. 60. I have assumed this to be the same lad purchased by Fuber in 1695.²
On 27 February 1700 Floris van Bengale was sold by Mahiu de Rijke to Joost Cornelis, for Rds. 100.³
