Camba was from the Coromandel Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1667. He was said to be 30 years old in 1697.¹

On 18 June 1697 Camba van der Kust Coromandel was sold by Francois van den Beke to Jacob Krebs, for Rds. 100.²
