BirthOrigin*Titus was feom Bengal and was perhaps born there circa 1683. Van Bengale - or from Bengal - was a term loosely applied during the period of VOC dominance to enslaved or formerly enslaved people from any of the countries bordering the Bay of Bengal. He was said to be 14 years old in 1697.1 
Slave TransactionsOn 11 June 1697 Alexander van Paliacatte, Scipio van Bibelepatnam and Titus van Bengale were sold by Hendrick van Buytenhem to Henningh Hùijsing, the first two were sold for Rds. 61 each, while Titus was sold for Rds. 52.2
