Batou was from Bali and was perhaps born there circa 1674. He was said to be 23 years old 1697.¹

On 31 May 1697 Batou Ringet van Bali and Saspia van Macassar were sold by Johannes Colbert to Fredrick Russouw de Wit, for Rds. 120.²
