Jan was from the Malabar Coast and may have been born there circa 1674. He was said to be 22 years old in 1696.¹

Slave Transactions

On 21 June 1696 Jan van Malabar was sold by Jacob Joppe de Jonge to Francois van der Stel, for Rds. 115.²
