Paulus was from Madagascar and was perhaps born there circa 1682. He was said to be 14 years old in 1696.¹

Slave Transactions

On 8 February 1696 Juna van Madagascar, Mary van Madagascar, Pieter van Madagascar, Cupido van Madagascar, Claas van Madagascar, Paulus van Madagascar and Valentijn van Madagascar were sold by Richard Glover to Jan Dircks de Beer, respectively for Rds. 80, Rds. 80, Rds. 80, Rds. 80, Rds. 85, Rds. 80 and Rds. 60.²
