Motte was from Trancquebar and was perhaps born there circa 1685. He was said to be 8 years old in 1692.¹

On 14 January 1693 Mange van Trancquebar and Motte van Trancquebar were sold by Arent Lever Königh to Simon van der Stel, for Rds. 70.²
