Adam was probably from Madagascar and perhaps born there circa 1670. I have assumed all the slaves sold by William Deeron in January 1684 were from Madagascar and similarly arbitrarily estimated their dates of birth - hoping for further discovery in the record.²

Baptism

Adam van Madagascar was baptized on 8 November 1699 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town).³

Adam van Madagascar was also known as Unnamed and Gender Unspecified Slave van Madagascar.²

Slave Transactions

Jacob van Madagascar, Adam van Madagascar and Unnamed and Gender Unspecified Slave van Madagascar, Unnamed and Gender Unspecified Slave van Madagascar and Unnamed and Gender Unspecified Slave van Madagascar were sold by William Deeron, to Simon van der Stel on 21 January 1684.⁴

Slaves owned by individuals

On 8 November 1699 Jacob van Madagascar and Adam van Madagascar were owned by Simon van der Stel. I have assumed them to be two of the eight slaves from Madagascar purchased by Van de Stel in 1684 whose names and gender were not recorded.¹
