Slave Transactions | On 6 January 1687 Claas van Malabar was sold by Claas de Beer to Hendrik Hartsz, for Rds. 42. It seems that Böeseken inverted the seller and the buyer. Hartsz was resident at the Cape - this is confirmed by Hattingh. See second citation subsequently added.2,3 |
