Slave BirthsBefore 19 June 1695, Christiaen van de Caep was born in bondage and was owned by Jan Holtsmit de Caep de Goede Hoop.1
Slave EmancipationsOn 31 August 1702 Table Valley, de Caep de Goede Hoop, Marta Manuels was emancipated with her children Catharina Jacobs, Jacob van de Caep, Christiaen van de Caep, Johannes van de Caep and Willem Meyn by Grysella Mostaart apparently at the behest of their former owner Hester Weijers who had died two years earlier.2
