He married Maria Jourdaan, daughter of Paul Jourdan and Rachel Niel, on 19 May 1743 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Drakenstein, de Caep de Goede Hoop. The marriage was performed by Ds. Salomon van Echten. This record appears on two pages - both attached as exhibits.³
