Duplicate?*It is possible that Hans Carelse van den Burgh and Hans Hennsz are the same individual. I think there is the possibility of a scribal error in this marriage record and that the scribe should have written Hans Carelse. In my view, it is possible Henske and van der Burg(h) are not same individual.

In the reocrds I have consulted thus far, aside from that marriage Henske was always Henske (variants) - and Hans Carel(se) never used Henske on any other occasion.

If there is evidence to the contrary, I would be grateful to be told where to locate it.2
Baptisms - WitnessHans Carelse van den Burgh potentially witnessed the baptism of Annetje Coopman on 4 March 1708 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), this witness has not been positively identified.3
He and Engeltje Cornelisse van der Bout witnessed the baptism of Engela Zaaijman on 11 May 1721 Nederduitsch Gereformeerde Kerk, Stellenbosch, de Caep de Goede Hoop.4
