Slaves owned by individuals | By the time he died shortly before 3 October 1750 when an inventory was taken of his estate, Willem Stolts came to own at least the eleven slaves named in the inventory. They were Januarij van Mallebaar, Jacob van Rio de la Goa, Leander van de Caab, Februarij van de Caab, Cupido van Bengalen, Cupido van Mallebaar, Joseph van Bengalen, Jan van Maccassar, Jonas van Mallebaar, Johanna van Maccassar and Rebecca van Rio de la Goa, what became of them is yet to be discovered in the record.2 |
