Birth*

Maria van Madagasker was born circa 1681 in Madagascar, The date is estimated, I am assuming Jeremias is her first child. Child bearing age in the period seems to have been 12-15.¹

On 23 September 1696 Maria van Madagasker and Jeremias van de Caep van Maria van Madagascar were enslaved and owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) at the Cape.¹
