Birth*

Secilia van Madagasker was born circa 1681 in Madagascar, The date is estimated, I am assuming Laurens is her first child. Child bearing age in the period seems to have been 12-15.¹

On 23 September 1696 Secilia van Madagasker and Laurens van de Caep van Secilila van Madagascar were enslaved and owned by the VOC (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie) at the Cape.¹
