Fytie was from Macassar and was perhaps born there circa 1683. She was old enough to witness a baptism in 1704.¹

Fytie van Macassar witnessed the baptism of Catrijn Otte on 11 May 1704 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town).²
She potentially witnessed the baptism of Christina van der Caep on 21 November 1706 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town), this witness has not been positively identified.³
