Birth*

Pn Hiesenga was born circa 1670, the date is estimated. Nothing more is known about this individual other than that he was a pastor on the Brandenburg which sailed for the Cape from Texel on 2 June 1695, during which time he baptised Sara Hendrina Brinck. He does not again appear in the record at the Cape, and it is assumed that he traveled to the East, also on the Brandenburg, when it sailed for Batavia on 1 July 1696. Additions and corrections are welcome.¹

Baptisms - Witness

In October 1695 Brandenburg, VOC vessel of the fleet, Pn Hiesenga performed the baptism of Sara Hendrina Brinck.²
