Baptisms - Witness

Heinrich Swellengrebel and Catharina Cruse and Urbanus Croes witnessed the baptism of Aletta Swellengrebel on 24 June 1702 Nederduitsche Gereformeerde Kerk, (Cape Town). I have assumed the infant's grandfather to have witnessed this baptism in absentia and that Urbanus Croes was his proxy rather than the primary witness.²
