23 August 1679, the name of Claas was written in the record as Claas Gerrits.¹

Slave Transactions

Before 28 March 1679 Billiam van Rotti was sold by Dirck Jansz Smient to Henningh Hùijsing and Claas Gerrits van Deventer, for f 1 180:10 in a transaction which included 235 sheep. The purchasers acknowledged the debt which was to be paid in two instalments.²
