BirthOrigin*Claas was from Deventer and was perhaps born there circa 1640. The date is estimated.1 
Names in the record, in publications, etc.23 August 1679, the name of Claas was written in the record as Claas Gerrits.1
Slave TransactionsBefore 28 March 1679 Billiam van Rotti was sold by Dirck Jansz Smient to Henningh Hùijsing and Claas Gerrits van Deventer, for f 1 180:10 in a transaction which included 235 sheep. The purchasers acknowledged the debt which was to be paid in two instalments.2
