Teecken was from St. Annekeroken and was perhaps born there circa 1630.¹

Vrijbriewen and Burgher Status

On 4 April 1660, Teecken Sibolts was granted a vrijbrief or letter of freedom which released him from his contractual obligations to the VOC and accorded him the status of vrijburgher or free burgher. He was recorded as an arquebusier on Het Wapen van Amsterdam.²
