BirthOrigin*Roelandt was from Woest and was perhaps born there circa 1630. His age is estimated. He was also said to be from Waest. There is a commune, Saint-Waast, in the Nord department of northern France, which may be his place of origin. It would fit with his employment by the Chamber of Zeeland.1 
Death*He died in 1658, He was employed by the Chamber of Zeeland.2
 
(Passenger) ShipVoyage On 24 December 1656 the Oijevaer departed Wielingen where it docked on 2 May 1657. Among those on board was Roelandt van de Walle.3,4 
Monsterrollen and Opgaafrollen (Muster and tax rolls)On 31 May 1657 Roelandt van de Walle was enumerated in the muster roll, as a plough maker, earning f 18.1
