BirthOrigin*April was from the Malabar Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1679. This location is assumed given that a condition of his sale in 1699 was that he never be permitted to return to Batavia or the Malabar Coast. He was said to be 20 years old in 1699.1
Slave TransactionsOn 13 March 1699 April van de Kust Malabar was sold on behalf of Johan Mency by Joannes Hoffman to Johannes Heufke, for Rds. 58 on condition that April never be permited to return to Batavia or the Malabar Coast.2
