Thomas was from the Coromandel Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1678. He was said to be 20 years old in 1698.¹

On 18 April 1698 Thomas van de Kust Coromandel was sold by Cornelis Boesem to Johannes Pfeiffer, for Rds. 70.²
