Pompejus was from the Coromandel Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1686. He was said to be 12 years old in 1698.¹

On 11 February 1698 Pompejus van de Kust Coromandel was sold by James Thwaites to Joan Blesius, for Rds. 25.²
