Jan was from the Malabar Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1672. He was said to be 25 years old in 1697.¹

Slave Transactions

On 27 June 1697 Jan van Malabar was sold by Marten van de Vijver to Frederik Meyer, for Rds. 50.²
