Jacob was from the Coromandel Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1669. He was said to be 28 years old in 1697.¹

On 24 June 1697 Paris van Macassar and Jacob van de Kust Coromandel were sold by Symon Langendam to Hendrick Mulder, for Rds. 55 each.²
