Hannibal was from Trancquebar and was perhaps born there circa 1679. He was said to be 18 years old in 1697.¹

On 5 January 1697 Hannibal van Trancquebare was sold by Jan Pietersz: van Vleugel to Hendrick Sneewint, for Rds. 67.²
