Arent was from the Malabar Coast and was perhaps born there circa 1654. He was said to be 40 years old in 1694.¹

Slave Transactions

On 16 October 1694 Arent van Malabar was sold by Cornelis Jansz Simons to Steven Vermey, for f 300, Cape valuation which was equal to Rds. 100.²
